Focal FPX 4.800 High-end Class D 4-channel amplifier Performance series

The FPX 4.800 amplifier has 4 channels with a power of 4x120 Watt RMS at 4 ohms, enclosed in compact dimensions. It operates at 4/3/2 channels, is stable at 2 Ohm, and is equipped with an active crossover for each pair of channels. The FPX 4.800 is the most versatile model in the Focal FPX amplifier range.

FPX 4.800 main features

Thanks to its high power, the FPX 4.800 is the ideal amplifier for powering front and rear speakers, or for hi-fi systems composed of a 2-way kit combined with a subwoofer. This amplifier is recommended to get the best from Focal Performance series speakers.

For an amplifier, efficiency and heat dissipation are two essential qualities to deliver high power and good musicality. And to optimize these aspects, FPX amplifiers are equipped with a robust aluminum chassis. The distribution of components on the motherboard has been carefully studied to also optimize the chassis cooling capacity. The careful selection of each Class D component (current passage, oversized transformers and high-quality capacitors) has made it possible to create powerful yet ultra-compact amplifiers that offer excellent musicality. The actual dimensions of the FPX 4.800 are 23.7 x 13.2 x 5.3 cm.

FPX 4.800 is extremely versatile

Thanks to its power of 4x120 Watt RMS at 4 ohms and its compact chassis just larger than half an A4 sheet, the FPX 4.800 is the ideal solution for a wide range of uses. In order to perfectly power the speakers, each pair of channels is equipped with an adjustable active crossover from 50 to 500 Hz: high-pass, low-pass or full-range. Channels 3 and 4 are equipped with bass boost.
