JL Audio FiX-82 DSP for OEM with automatic time correction and digital EQ.

FiX-82 features 8 input channels and 2 channels for stereo RCA outputs, plus 1 digital optical output. It is a cutting-edge digital signal processor designed to deliver world-class sound from factory audio systems, without replacing the OEM source unit. FiX 82 is the first DSP that automatically corrects factory outputs delayed in time before signal summing and EQ correction.

With a powerful 24-bit DSP processor and two 1/3 octave equalizers built in, complex factory audio outputs of 2-way, 3-way and 4-way are combined and automatically aligned into a flat, full-range stereo signal. Differential-balanced inputs accept virtually any OEM analog audio signal, from amplified speaker-level outputs at low voltage, from line level to high power (up to 30 V RMS).

Calibration is initiated with a single button press and requires only about 30 seconds to complete, with no need for special equipment!

By connecting a PC with TüN™ software via USB, you can access a complete suite of diagnostic panels that display the frequency response of the input signals and the corrected outputs. You can make adjustments to insert polarity, muting and filtering, and new calibrations can also be initiated from the PC. By clicking on the "TUNE" tab of the TüN™ interface, you can also access a pair of 10-band adjustable graphic equalizers for fine-tuning the output signals.

Output options include two RCA jacks (4V RMS) or a digital optical output (Toslink), which support PCM audio (S/PDIF) at 24 bit/48 kHz resolution.

Activation methods include 12 volts or automatic (signal/DC-Offset Sensing), plus a dedicated remote power output for activating aftermarket equipment.

You can connect the optional DRC-100 digital remote control (sold separately) to add Master Volume Control functionality from the driver's seat. Clipped input signals and general conditions are also reported via the DRC-100's multicolor status LED.
