Thanks to numerous improvements made to the new HX DSP PRO MK 2 processor, a higher quality standard has been achieved in terms of power and sound quality.

In addition to the extremely powerful 64-bit DSP, state-of-the-art DA and AD converters with incredible native 32-bit resolution ensure unprecedented sound performance. The improved internal power supply as well as the increase in maximum output voltage of 8 Volts contribute to the greater sound quality of the processor.

The further innovations are represented by the ADEP circuit (Advanced Error Protection Diagnostics) in the high-level inputs to bypass the factory speaker diagnostic systems, the "Auto Remote" switch to activate and deactivate automatic activation of the high-level inputs and the software addition for controlling the switching between the optical and coaxial input.

HX DSP PRO MK2 is equipped with a slot for extension cards (HEC slot) dedicated to additional input and output modules such as Bluetooth Audio Streaming and the new USB-audio interface. In terms of design, the DSP PRO MK2 presents itself with the clean and recognizable HELIX look and offers the ideal prerequisites for quick and simple integration. But not only the hardware has been improved, the software has been completely revised and the characteristics of the filters and the time alignment adjustment are other examples of the new improvements made to the processor.

Time alignment with a maximum of 20 ms delay time for each channel, furthermore reverse the time alignment for in-phase summing of inputs

Sampling frequency of 96 kHz

HX DSP PRO MK2 allows you to manage all signals with a sampling frequency of 96 kHz. So the audio band is not limited to usual values ​​such as 22 kHz but allows an extended frequency response of more than 40 kHz.

Signal converters with native 32-bit resolution

Latest generation DA and AD converters with native 32-bit resolution instead of the common 24 Bit. The result is unprecedented precision in signal conversion that especially optimizes sound quality at lower signal levels.

Power Save Mode

The "Power Save Mode" system is active by default.

The system works by turning off the amplifiers controlled by the DSP PRO if there is no music signal at the input for more than 60 seconds. This function becomes essential on many vehicles equipped with latest generation "CANBUS", where the car radio remains on (only the Display turns off) up to 45 minutes after leaving the vehicle!

Everything returns to normal operation as soon as a music signal is applied to the input. (max 1 sec.)
It is possible to vary the intervention time or completely disable "Power Save Mode" via the PC-Tool.

Start-/Stop

The switching power supply of the HELIX DSP PRO ensures a constant internal supply voltage even if the battery voltage drops to 6 Volts during engine startup, guaranteeing excellent operation with modern Start & Stop systems

Automatic Digital Signal Detection
The switching between analog and digital inputs occurs automatically as soon as a digital input signal is detected, or, via PC-Tool, manual switching can be set. The latter case provides for the connection of the remote control unit.

HELIX Extension Card
Thanks to the new slot for extension modules called "HEC", it is possible to add an additional optical digital input or an optical output, or a USB port or a Bluetooth input, for wireless music streaming.
