Integrating hi-fi car components into existing OEM audio systems is becoming increasingly challenging since today's factory radios lack preamp outputs or incorporate intelligent speaker diagnosis features. This is where the new Helix AAC.3 comes in. Forget error messages or loss of functionality (e.g. the fader): the integrated ADEP.3 circuit intelligently "bypasses" speaker diagnosis in factory car radios. The distorted sounds and increased THD that can occur with conventional high-low converters are also avoided. The good news is that ADEP.3 does not unnecessarily load the car radio's amplifier and thus reduces current consumption by up to 70%.

Its "double activation circuit" generates a +12 V remote signal to turn on connected power amplifiers in two different ways. Either it detects the DC offset on the OE speaker outputs or uses an integrated, switchable signal detection with variable sensitivity.
In addition, the AAC.3 incorporates Audiotec Fischer's proprietary "Power Saving Mode", which disables the remote output if there is no music signal for more than 2 minutes. This is truly a big advantage as many cars with "CAN" or similar bus architectures keep the radio invisibly "alive" for up to 45 minutes, even though you already left the car in the meantime.

High-resolution ready
The AAC.3 generates a high-quality preamplified signal from the speaker output signal of a factory radio or amplifier and therefore allows you to easily connect additional power amplifiers. The wide frequency response from 18 Hz to 80,000 Hz ensures excellent sound quality and makes this high-low converter ready for high-resolution audio playback.
